Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a cost for the class?
Our instructors are volunteers and teach for the love of fashion and self expression. However, your class fees allow us to purchase refreshments, supplies, samples and provide GAS money to our instructors. If you are financially unable to pay the class fee, please email Nina for information on work exchange.

Do I have to RSVP or Prepay to attend?
You can reserve your spot by prepaying through the website. You also have the option of RSVPing and paying at the store when you arrive. Or you can just show up. If you have not RSVPed we cannot guarantee you a spot. We ask that you RSVP or Prepay to allow us to make sure we have enough supplies and refreshments.

If I can’t make it, do I get my money back?
If you don’t let us know you aren’t coming (at work they call it “no call, no show”) class fees are non-refundable. However, if cancellation is made 4 hours prior to applicable class, fees may be applied to future classes. This allows us to let someone on the waiting list into the class.

What happens if PowerXchange cancels the class?
In the event that PowerXchange must cancel or reschedule a class, fees may be refunded, applied to a future class, or credited to a future purchase in the store. Your choice.

I can’t make the classes you have scheduled. Will there be more?
Yes! Yes! Please sign up for our email list so we can notify you of up coming classes.

Where are the classes held?
All classes (unless otherwise stated in the class description) are held at the store. 1724 Aliceanna St. The classes are held in the back of the shop after store hours. So, no other shoppers, no gawkers...just like minded individuals.

Is the store open during the classes?
The classes are held after hours and are typically held Wednesdays at 7pm or Sundays at 6pm.

How big are the classes?
Classes are usually limited to 6-10 participants to ensure an intimate and hands-on setting.

What should I bring?
Bring what you have. If you have clothes, makeup, shoes, etc. that apply to the class you are attending, please bring them. The classes are much more affective for you if you can practice with your own things. However, we have plenty of samples that you can play with or you can purchase what you need at the store (purchases are never required, but the option is available if you are interested). Specific needs for the class are usually listed in the class description, but if you have questions you can always email us.
